The speaker is a Ph.D. in Economics from Taipei University, and is currently
an associate researcher and the director of Research Division VI of
the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research. Driven by his striving interest
in economics, he makes unique observations and provides insights in
current economic trends and developments of the international economy,
general finance, and early-stage investment. Many well-known newspapers
and magazines have published his articles related to the general economy,
financial technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. He is often invited
to universities and major enterprises to give speeches, and also does
interviews with mainstream media. In his leisure time, he likes reading,
playing basketball and running. He is a truly determined, unstoppable
economist.

Ping-Hang (Eric) Fan is the Deputy Director of Div. VI at Taiwan Institute
of Economic Research (TIER), and the director of two venture funds,
AppWorks Fund II and Harbinger Venture Fund VI. TIER was established
in 1976 by Dr. Chen-Fu Koo as the first and by far the largest private
independent economic think tank in Taiwan.
Eric also leads several government projects, which aim to promote early-stage
investment and startup ecosystem in Taiwan. He is responsible for conducting
the early-stage investment database, research analysis, and startup
fundraising events. In addition, he covers the research of emerging
technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship policies, and angel/venture
capital investment.

Ivy has held 20 years of senior executive positions
in Microsoft, Autodesk, and Check Point and has expertise in strategic
management and sales, operational strategy planning and execution. She
has outstanding performance in the workplace and repeated recognition.
After that, Ivy founded the first angel investment company in Taiwan,
and has successfully invested in 21 new start-up companies over the
past 10 years within the technology and medical biotechnology industries.
Currently, Ivy serves as a General Partner and Director of Taipei Angels
Investment Co. and is responsible for strategic investing. Ivy is also
an entrepreneurial consultant at the TAcc+ accelerator under the ITRI;
and one of the members of the SITI / GISA Review Committee of Department
of Economic Development, Taipei City Government. Aside from listed profession,
Ivy is also dedicated to mental health, and serves as a qualified counselor.
Jason joined Darwin Venture in January, 2020, in
charge of investment in digital economy, data, software, and automotive
related industry. The investment range from seed to series B stage.
Since 2022, Jason serves as partner of Darwin Angel Investment fund.
Due to the endeavor in digital economy, Jason also serves as the Director
of Taiwan Digital Media Association.
From 2012 to 2019, Jason served as the manager of Garage+ incubator
and liaison office of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at
Epoch Foundation. He was responsible of portfolio management, investor
and corporate partnership. He had supported more than 350+ start-ups,
including 150 international start-ups, in AI, BigData, IoT, Digital
Health, and lifestyle fields. The average funding rate reach to 75%.
Prior to Garage+, Jason used to work at YFY Group (Yuen Foong Yu) for
new business development from 2005 to 2007. Jason also joined 3 start-ups
in mobile and telecom industries between 2007 and 2010. He also served
as advisor and mentor in several universities, companies, and government
projects in recent years.
Jason received his MBA degree from National Chiao Tung University in
2009 and BBA from National Taiwan University in 2007. He had participated
in Ph.D programs of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from University
of Nottingham in 2018 and Strategy Management from National Taiwan University
in 2010.

Victor is the founder & CEO of Foodland Ventures - the first AgriFood tech VC & accelerator in Taiwan. He’s a serial entrepreneur in both the food and tech industries. With extensive experience in entrepreneurship and community building, he connects AgriFood tech founders to global industry resources.
During his tenure at Wistron, Eric served as product
manager and business executive, as well as the special assistant to
the Chairman. He also served as president, and business unit president
of Wistron's subsidiary, Wistron Optronics. He is currently in-charge
of the corporate early-stage investment and accelerator-related projects.
In his more than 30 years of career, he has focused on electronic manufacturing
strategy and corporate development in the early years, and in the last
decade, he has devoted himself to the new venture community in Taiwan.
With the support of Chairman Simon, the Corporate Investment Office
was established in early 2021 and the Wistron Accelerator Program was
launched, dedicated to establishing a new operating model for CVCs in
Taiwan and adding friendly seeds to the entrepreneurial environment.
He enjoys reading, traveling, walking, and thinking, and he often says
that "it's all about learning from new ideas".

Jonathan has been a key supporter of the Taiwan startup ecosystem with
a focus on overseas entrepreneurs coming into Taiwan.
After returning from the US and the UK in 2010, he co-founded FutureWard
Coworking space in 2016, and was the Operations Director at Taiwan Tech
Arena from 2018 to February of 2022. Since 2020, he is the Director
of the Taiwan Employment Gold Card Office, responsible for the Gold
Card work and resident visa program under National Development Council.
Jonathan is also an angel investor with diverse investments in solar
energy, software services, blockchain applications, as well as being
involved in multiple Taiwan VC funds. His collective experiences span
many industries of which he is happy to share with others.
